YUMMMMM. the starters were SO good. we got the tuna, the chicken pate, and the sourdough with their house butter. chicken pate is a MUST. it’s so creamy and the crispy bread they serve it on is to die for. the tuna was also an explosion of flavour. i love me a good plate of sourdough but in comparison to these, the sourdough was a nice basic staple. we got the 600g ribeye with cowboy butter and asked for medium rare. the cook in the middle was good but the outer areas were really over. i know it’s tough to have an even cook but that’s what i’d expect when i order a steak. slices were giant too, wasn’t really a fan of it. fries were really nice. hot, fresh and crispy. the tiramisu cocktail was nice and really pretty. the star of the night might have been the sticky date pudding though. or maybe the chicken pate. anyway, the schticky date pudding was indulgent and the perfect end to dinner. there is a 25 minute wait so order it early! i’d come back! keen to try the pasta or would just overload on multiple smaller dishes :)

The reason I chose Love Letter was the "feed me" deal ... just to find out when I was ready to order that it's for a minimum of two people. :-( Oh well, change of plans then: Scotch fillet steak with chips and cafe de Paris. Perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious... and almost made me forget my initial disappointment!

Thursday night steak and pasta night. We didn’t book but were lucky enough to get a table. The service is delightful. The meal (we both had steak) was cooked very well, seasoned well. It’s not often we are both happy with our meals but we were here so this is definitely on our must visit again list. Great cocktails and many wines to choose from.

The steak night here was $38 on a Thursday, little on the pricier side but glad we gave it a go. The rump steak was well cooked and very tender. The chips were crispy and salted well and the salad on the side was fresh and the dressing was tasty. The only fault was that the sauce / juice from the steak was making the chips wet and moist and the steak came out kinda lukewarm, not like freshly hot. Overall nice dinner. Staff were so friendly also!

Love Letter is a beautiful, cosy and homely restaurant and bar that delivers a knockout with its perfectly crafted food that delivers on quantity, flavour and balance. Perfectly matched with its great selection of wines and made welcoming by their fantastic and friendly staff. This is a must try place and one that will have you coming ack for more as the menu changes frequently and the chef here nails it every time. The variety, balance and flavours will always leave you satisfied and curious for more. The $49 feed me menu was so hearty, great well thought out dishes and amazing value. The whole vibe in the place is bustling but cosy and it gets busy, and not surprisingly. This place is a must! A true signature to what hospitality is meant to be, it will have you in love with dining out again.

The atmosphere is what first caught my eye about this place and it did not disappoint. It is so cute and cozy. Perfedt amount quirky and cool without taking away from the charm. The staff were just a delight. Super sweet and Helpful. Overall just a very warm and welcoming vibe. The food was great. We shared everything - the curry scallop, steak frites, and the pasta with peas and chickpeas. All of it was very well done. The steak was a winner which is always high praise and everything else complimented it well. I will say that I found it all quite salt forward. Not to the point of being a problem but probably inching close. Though with that said my partner is actually super salt sensitive and didn’t notice that so it may have just been my palette on the night. I ordered a couple of amaretto sours and o rarely get a REALLY good one of those but this one was top tier. 10000% reccomend putting this on your Melbourne hit list. It was a really nice night. Enjoyed every part of it!

Absolutely phenomenal food! I went for their Thursday pasta and steak special and both dishes were mind blowing. The sauce for the pasta was divine and the pasta shape held the sauce beautifully. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce and fries were delicious. I also recommend the passionfruit mocktail as it is one of the best passionfruit drinks I’ve had in melbourne. Everyone who worked there was also so nice and overall such a nice atmosphere!
